Start of the development of autonomous vehicles. (In Düsseldorf, "Blind people driving a car" is introduced. With the help of a magnetic track on the ground, a parcours was unplugged and a sensor measured the distance from the magnetic track. Vibrators showed the driver in which direction to steer. Ultrasonic sensors initiated braking.
