Fresh wind in German city centres with the KYBURZ eTrolley: Since 2016, the new eTrolley 7+1 has been in use at Deutsche Post as the standard vehicle for mail delivery. Already in the first months after its introduction, the eTrolley is part of everyday life in many cities. The eTrolley is also used by postmen who live with physical limitations. The eTrolley allows the continuation of professional work and avoids early occupational disability.
Also in use in Oslo and Vienna
he electric hand trolley is not only of interest in Germany. In the far north of Oslo, near the Norwegian Post Office, three vehicles with customer-specific superstructures are being tested. The focus is on the mixed delivery of letters and parcels. For this reason, the superstructure is designed as a large box. In Vienna, Austrian Post acquired a small fleet of eTrolleys to overcome the steep bridge from the postal depot to the city centre. Only the strongest postmen can do this with muscle power, now everyone in the city centre can deliver mail again.
Secure thanks to electronic keys
Security is a top priority with the eTrolley: The postman can simply lock the eTrolley with an electronic key (RFID) and does not have to worry about the vehicle when it is delivered in buildings - without the key, the eTrolley stands still on inclines and cannot be moved. The flaps are also automatically locked to prevent unauthorized access to the load. The electronic key, which is held shortly in front of the control panel, awakens all functions. Especially in winter, when working with gloves, this makes work much easier. The eTrolley is equipped with a powerful motor to accelerate the large payload even on inclines. Thanks to the high-quality and long-lasting battery, the eTrolley can be used all day long without recharging; distances of 20 to 30 kilometres are possible.
Reliable and durable
The eTrolley has not only become an indispensable helper for the postal service, but is also being used more and more in production plants and internal logistics. Whether the fast provision of tool equipment in the company, the internal parcel distribution in large companies or the goods picking in logistics companies: The eTrolley is in demand everywhere as a working tool. The quality of the product is important to the users: reliability and longevity are what count in professional applications. This ultimately saves more than it costs.
More than 500 eTrolleys are currently in use in Germany, Norway, Finland, Austria, Luxembourg and Australia.
