KYBURZ receives Duxon signals: the electronic components in the KYBURZ vehicles come from Duxon

Green printed circuit boards with soldered electronic components have become an indispensable part of our modern world. Duxon AG in Tuggen/SZ supplies these prints, which receive, process and transmit electronic signals for KYBURZ Switzerland vehicles.

"We produce high-quality industrial electronics for customers worldwide," says Ueli Weber, owner and managing director, summarizing Duxon's business model in one sentence. There is a concentrated atmosphere in the modern production hall. Rhythmic noises can be heard from production machines and the ventilation is barely audible.

Ueli Weber is Managing Director of KYBURZ supplier Duxon.

Eleven-headed family business
The family business, which currently has eleven employees, produces simple to highly complex prototypes, some of which are made by hand and others by machine. Large series of printed circuit boards are automatically printed, assembled and unloaded on a linearly arranged machine park. "We are very flexible, our customers appreciate that", emphasizes Ueli Weber and "many large companies are interested in working together".

Quality assurance is very important to us. High-resolution cameras photograph the finished parts, and software searches for irregularities in the images. Missing or twisted components and even insufficient solder joints are detected. However, human control under the magnifying glass cannot be replaced in every case. Ueli Weber: "Our reliable and long-standing employees are the recipe for quality".

With a mischievous smile, Ueli Weber points to a small freezer next to a workplace where special fuses for ozone generators are produced and sold worldwide.  To store a highly conductive adhesive, the temperature must be below minus 45 degrees Celsius.

KYBURZ service partner
In electric vehicles, the components are exposed to large temperature fluctuations, humidity and vibrations. For protection, an employee applies a special transparent paint. Under ultraviolet light, the liquid glows and each brush stroke becomes visible. A KYBURZ DXP from Swiss Post is located in a room next to the forwarding agency. Duxon is also a KYBURZ service partner. Given this versatility, it is not surprising that Ueli Weber needs a balance. He is fascinated by Swiss folk music. With the double bass, he lays the musical foundation for dance. Have fun!
