Ex-chauffeur appreciates DX2: if Walter Beerli drives his KYBURZ DX2 on the road, his eyes are everywhere
Since a serious illness, walking and breathing has been difficult for him. "This vehicle is ideal for me," says Walter Beerli, a native of Thurgau who has lived in Winterthur for over 40 years - in the same house as his twin brother. He uses the vehicle regularly, especially for shopping, but he can also visit the doctor and do other errands himself with the help of the KYBURZ DX2.
Lifeguard and bowling
As a lifeguard, he was already involved during the construction of the indoor swimming pool in Geiselweid in Winterthur and conscientiously took care of the safety of the swimmers until his early retirement. At the age of 60, he took another big step. After his brother opened a bowling alley in Rümikon near Winterthur, he started planning, converting and opening a bowling alley in Dielsdorf. "Yes, yes, we cramped," says Walter Beerli in retrospect. Dealing with the mostly young clientele remains in good memory and when telling evenings with bowling, disco music and coloured light, his eyes sparkle like disco spotlights.
The Beerli clan holds together
The two businesses are still run by family members and a daughter and niece live within call distance. "Now I can take it easier," says Walter Beerli. His vehicle helps him. Since his twin brother is also struggling with his health, his sister-in-law is a great support. With a twinkle in her eye she says: "The Beerli clan holds together".
